Shortly after the release of this, we should be getting the prequel "Roehm to Ruin" out.

We also have native Mac support now, courtesy of Chad "Edenwaithe" Armstrong.

The screens will scroll when then need to, and many of the GUIs and full screen games have been re-organized to accommodate this change.

The biggest change is probably that the viewport resolution is now 16:9 instead of 4:3 - it should fill rectangular monitors. Bug fixes to fix some problems - there are some small graphical changes here and there, and the Steam Achievements should all work all the time now.

Version 2.0 - most of the changes are minor. My kidney transplant failed, and I'm back on dialysis - and being the only one to work on the game now, I've not quite had the time I once did. Which I'd definitely prefer not to.After an extended period of time, v2.0 of Quest for Infamy is coming soon.

So now I'm totally stuck and don't know how to fix it except restarting the game. Everything else (like finishing Prospero's quests) went fine. Then I tried to get inside the castle on my own (just out of curiosity) and got kicked out politely by the runic-named guy. :) Anyway, I just followed the message she left with Kit, met her near the castle and started the crest-collection quest. That totally confused me because, as I already said, I don't remember arranging any meetings. But then, after a few nights I've spent somewhere in Tyr, Roehm suddenly "recalled" something about a meeting in the pub which he almost missed by then. Either something's really bad with my memory, or it's another bug, but I absolutely don't remember originally talking with that green lady about any secret meetings or some such: I've just met her once when she first came into town and got kicked out by the sheriff. I'm not sure if it was him or Katrina that-lady-in-green-whose-name-I-can't-remember-right-now who hinted me to search for a living Killington, but I definitely got that task from someone.Īlso, now I remember another odd thing. I did speak to Japsworth and know everything he had to say to me (at least judging by the corresponding achievement). From an unintentionally read spoiler I know that another piece is there, but the game doesn't tell me that unless I speak to Hummel first, and I can't speak to him because of the diary problem. I've also met the gnoll behind the waterfall. Yes, I've already collected the key and the Master piece from the well (I've been there before, seen the odd symbol, so when I got the necklace, I didn't wait for any more hints and just went straight there). I'm almost sure that I've already done some things that I'm not really supposed to do yet (like trying to get inside the fortress), and maybe finished some of the diary-related quests "out of order", but if that leads to what I'm seeing now, then it's just asking for a patch. Is that not proof enough? This particular questline really looks confusing, even by QFG standards (I do remember how hard the original games were for a first-time player).Īnd it does look a little bit glitchy (the part when I find the diary and it says "there's nothing important" AFTER I spoke to Frederic, then pops up on some random unrelated action, etc). Why do I need to read anything else, anyway? Hummel's diary just says straight that he's a Killington, but changed his name. The only new thing I've found there is a solution for the board puzzle that I've already solved. There's no such topic in both dialogues, I can't show the diary to anyone, and browsing the books just brings up some random titles. I can't find any option to "read about the Killingtons" there.
